Squirrels

I've heard that it's a big insult if a $cieno calls you a squirrel. Why? What does that have to do with anything?

Also, what are other $cieno insults or negative terms?

Squirrel is somebody who deliberately alters and mis-applies LRH tech, such as adding their own "non-standard" ideas to the tech. The idea is that LRH tech "works", and thus any alterations would only serve to make it less effective or run into other problems. Keeping Scientology Working policy letter is also fairly adamant on keeping Scientology unaltered in any way shape or form. Only a squirrel would be nuts enough to alter the tech. Its considered a crime or high-crime within the CoS.

In practice, its also a term used against anybody who tries to practice Scientology outside the control of the CoS (such as the freezone). Its used as a scare story to keep people away from them, as you won't get "standard" tech.


Other tems might include:

wog: non-scientologist

panty-waste dilettante: an ineffectual person (phrase from KSW)

downstat: a person who's stats are down, or if they or their area is less than shiny, uptone and clean.

out-ethics: a sinful action, or remining in a sinful state. Any non-survival action. Anything the church deems as wrong.

entheta: anything unhappy, that could enturbulate or upset a person, or anything that is critical of Scientology.

the psychs: anybody involved with psychiatry, psychology etc - these are the people running the worldwide conspiracy to suppress humanity, drugging our chidren and lots of other generalised nasty things - the enemy

marcabian: The marcab's are the race of aliens who trapped us on this prision planet earth in the first place. They are the ones controlling the psychs, and have designed things in general to keep us trapped.

mixed-practices: mixing scientology with other practices or techniques. This is also banned.

Suppressive Person: the 2% of the population that are intrinsically evil and beyond redemption (at least for now). People who publically leave Scientology, or openly criticise it, or break the rules, will generally get declared as being an SP. Most SPs are criminals, perverts, liars, nattery, full of entheta, make generalizations, or insert your favourite taboo here (Nazi-communists is a good one).

reasonable: agreeing to things that are not correct in order to not cause an argument. This is a bad thing as the tech is suppost to be applied 100%, with no alterations or being "reasonable" about it, no matter how hard it may seem.

generalization: when you speak about something without specifics, ie:"they did", "people say" etc. SPs are said to only speak in generalizations. Scientologists will often ask "who said?" to such a statement.

natter: talking negative things about a person, which are generally petty. another SP trait.

1.1 or one-one: covertly hostile. Its a point on the tone-scale, where you appear happy and friendly, but are secretly trying to stab people in the back. Homosexuals appear at this level of the tone scale.

Astra, I've read your father's affidavits about the blue asbestos on the Freewinds. How anyone could call him a squirrel is beyond me. Then again, I shouldn't try to use logic with $cienos.

Open-Minded: Someone who will allow other viewpoints or feels other practices might have some validity.

PTS: A person who is trouble source (supposed to be because of connection to a suppressive person).

SP: A person who is against Scientology. Also used in conversation to denigrate anybody who disagrees with anything that the organization wants.

Type 3: A person who is crazy. (PTS Type 3).

DB: Anybody who is not giving their all. Ex-Sea Org members are considered DBs.

Tiger: someone repeatedly associated with goofed projects and who actually has caused them; continually out-ethics; failed to get ethics in; in a group of people is dangerous as a tiger would be dangerous. [This is the derogatory form of this term and when it is used by hubbard is not always meant that way.]

Theetie-Weetie: Someone who is all sweetness and light and doesnt confront reality. A lot of "OTs" tend to be theetie-wheetie (imho).

Alter-is: A change to something which creates a bigger problem, someone not following orders/directions/etc but changing them.

One lesson learned from marriage (decades of), a good husband:

Always eats what's put in front of him, finds something to like about it - and, says so!

A good wife:

Upon encountering CI re the chow, simply says (words to this effect): "Its what we are having." To say more is dev-t.

So, as you surmised (presciently, I might add!) it is wedges on salads and cross-sections on sandwiches or with mozzarella, basil, thin sliced vidalia onions and viangrette. Hmm... must be almost dinner time.

Now I know you are truly OT - just like my long-suffering wonderful spouse!

You are right. Compromise is way, way too reasonable.

But good eating is yet another thing altogether...
