Couple of other interesting points to note, if this does actually go through to a full on court case (which is not 100% certain yet):
1. As EpicNoseGuy is only 15, so he should qualify for full legal aid to defend himself.
2. As this is a case being brought by the CPS and not CoS, the case would result in a definitive judgement, without the CoS being able to drop the case at the last moment.
IIRC the CoS did this to their own Dutch high-court appeal against Karin Spaink recently, on day before the verdict - anyone got any more info on this.
3. It also means that CoS lawyers can't use their common legal tactic of trying to overwhelm the other legal team through overwork, and questioning every tiny point.
4. The downside, for EpicNoseGuy, is as this would be a criminal case, losing means potentially getting a criminal record, though being a juvenile, would likely result in a more lenient sentence than imposed on a adult (does anyone know what the range of penalties are for this offence?). While I suspect he would win, its unwise to pre-judge any court case.
Freedom is a choice. Choose to be yourself, choose to speak your truth and do so with compassion. And above all else, choose to be not afraid. If I can't dance, its not my revolution.
