I actually have all of LRH's works stored on my HD but I could only get through about 1/4 of dianetics. I think Shakespeare said it best.

LRH made it possible to use a lot of big words and yet sounds like a dumbass at the same time. It's one of those rare books that can actually make you dumber for reading it. He loves to sound as if he knows what he''s dribbling about but yet it's obvious he doesn't. Take for example...

If you dissect that sentence it makes no sense. An individual can't be a state. Complete integration is existentialist garbage, as if you're completely integrated you cease to be what you were before and are now part of a larger whole of something else and hence not an individual and most certainly not basic. Highest possible rationality also tries to make you sound godlike but yet you're a "basic" individual, so that's like saying everyone is basically god. I'll translate what LRH is really saying...

Anything of worth from his works are usually rephrased nuggets of knowledge that he garnered from other sources, such as the way to happiness(10 commandments).
TLDR? Reading dianetics is a complete waste of anyone's time. Real self-help books are written by people like Dale Carnegie, Anthony Robbins or Robert Kiyosaki. Stay away from anything written by LRH.
