Thanks guys for your opinions and experiences.

I didn't mean to imply this but for the record - of course emotional abuse is not specific to Scn by any stretch of the imagination nor is it only religious types who verbally/mentally abuse. I also shouldn't have made the question specific to parental emotional abuse... as many of you were abused by auditors, friends, teachers and your seniority in general but not necessarily by your parents (that you know of -but that is also not the point).

Of course, as a rule, most parents don't intend to harm their children but many parents are unconsciously abusing, sometimes daily. Just listen in on a playground sometime and you'll see what i mean. Threats, insults and barked orders are common.

The abuse present in the SO stories is frighteningly pervasive that to have a "church" claim spriritual seniority, determined to "clear" the entire effing planet while turning a blind eye or enforcing abusive situations is criminal and should be exposed.
