Should Scientology by banned in France?

The French MSN.com is doing a survey asking what people thing about Scientology being banned in France. There is an e-mail chain going around Scientologists right now telling people to go to the website and vote NO. I'm in the closet so to speak so people don't know I'm not down with it. Anywho, I thought I would spread the word and see if people here wanted to vote.



It should be the first question which is:
Etes-vous favorable à la dissolution de l'Eglise de scientologie?

Oui = yes
Non = no
Sans opinion = without opinion

Oh, and when I first saw it earlier this evening it was 53% Oui to 44% Non. As of now it's reversed with 51% Non and 46% Oui. So the Scientologists are clicking away! Also, if someone knows a good Anon board to post this on that would be great!

It's funny, when I posted this thread I should have thought of the title better. I was really posting a poll that MSN France is doing asking if Scn should be banned. I wanted to get some people here to vote on it. But it turned into a pretty cool discussion of religious freedom, cults, etc. Which is great, BTW.

Anywho, so the poll is still going. I've been over on WWP with a bunch of Anons having voting-bot wars against Scientologists? OSA? Who knows, but it has been kind of fun. First they sent out mass e-mails to Scientologist telling them to vote and they started to win. We made voting bots and turned the tide in our favor. They copied our bots and started to win the numbers war, getting within 1% of taking the lead. We rallied the troops and started running the bots on any computer that got within our grasp and pulled a little further ahead. And thus we are holding a slight lead. It is 51% Yes to ban vs. 48% No and 1% No Opinion.

This poll, with 1,314,184 votes and counting, is nearly pointless. The next closest poll on MSN.FR has only 20,000 votes so this one has obviously and blatantly been fixed. And the war over this poll, like so many other wars, is pretty much pointless as well. It no longer represents a valid question of should it be banned or not. It is just a battleground of numbers. But it is fun fighting with the Anons. Sticking it to Scn to whatever degree.

Of note is how it ended. The NON side was getting pounded by our side (the Yes side) for a few days in a row. They were doing about 250 votes per minute to our 1500. So yeah, they were vote boting too they just couldn't keep up with us. So then last night all of a sudden the NON votes stopped completely. Within about 3-4 hours of that happening MSN.FR closed the poll. MSN.FR hasn't closed a poll in years. They have probably more than a hundred or more open polls going back to Oct 2007. So that the other side stopped voting a few hours before the poll was closed means to me that they knew it was going to be closed. And if they knew it was going to be closed it probably means they caused it to be closed. Likely by a high up PR person in Scientology contacting MSN.FR and probably threatening them in some way. Probably the threat of a law suit.
Anyways, it's a lot of reading between the lines, but that's what I think happened.[url][/url]
