Hi Astra, thanks for posting this. I love your site and appreciate all you & Jenna are able to do.
I'm sorry to read about Amy but I know that scientology does these things every day to people in order to try and quell the criticism and keep their crimes from coming to the forefront. Scientology Gag agreements are standard fare, whether it's for a Narconon victim in order to get their money back, or for an ex to be able to have contact with their loved ones. The common element in each situation is that the church does what it can to control and suppress the person under the circumstances. It's just pure evil on their end. The victims of this tactic often feel that they have to make a deal in order to gain what they feel is rightfully theirs in right or possession and often these decisions are made under oppressive circumstances with time limitations to decide being forced upon them. No one situation is alike but some are more pathetic than others. I pity Amy Harrison because, despite what she told them ( names of those considering being witnesses or filing lawsuits ? probably), what they got was the best of her in the end. She's a slave to scientology and it must suck being her. I'm just glad ESK is alive and continuing on despite this disappointment.
As far as Kendra, if a deal was made, I suspect she only agreed to distance herself from the opposition and no more. I get the impression that her integrity is firm and she won't allow herself to get caught up in playing along with scientology's fair game tactics. I could be wrong but I look forward to hearing what she has to say to you on this. It may well be that she can't say anything but that in itself would put the matter in perspective. Her role in making this site happen and grow should not be minimized if she is just being quiet for a while for the sake of family.
Glad to hear that the cult has not gotten to Jenna, too, tho they tried.
