Open vs. closed systems - James McGuigan
I just read the newest "Story from Inside Scientology" on this site. It is by James McGuigan and titled "Losing My Religion." It can be found at http://exscientologykids.com/james1.html . I found it absolutely fascinating and would recommend that everybody read it. Born into Scientology, James at first fully accepted the Authority that was LRH. He saw it as a closed system cast in stone after LRH's death. But James later studied Computer Science and frequented the internet. He wrestled with contradictions he discovered. I'm not going to spoil the story because James deserves to be read in full. Many of you Anon are computer experts, and I would surmise that many of you support the Open Source software movement. I think you will love how James analyzes this and contrasts it with CoS policies.
