They are like both smushed together. Unlike a therapist an auditor only had specific questions he can ask and he can't really say much else. They also elicit confessions by asking direct questions or asking if you are hiding something. They elicit confessions when you show a sign that you are hiding something and there is a whole list of these signs. The list includes falling asleep in session, getting angry, trying to leave the session, saying something critical about the church or the auditor, etc.
What makes a good auditor ?
In the Church, it is someone who properly interprets the e-meter (which people get in trouble for not doing all the time). And someone who can have a smooth conversation with the auditee and make them feel comfortable.
Can any Scientologist become a auditor ?
Yeah, there is a LOT of training though.
What is his/her duty ?
They ask certain questions and depending on the answer given on the e-meter, they continue with that question until the e-meter tells them it is finished, or they go on to the next one.
Does the auditor inform the auditee about the result of a auditing ?
Like do you mean do they tell them ahead of time what the result is supposed to be? The results of the various auditing procedures are broadly know and printed except for very few which are secret.
Can an auditee (??) refuse to work with an special auditor (because he doesn´t like him) ?
Well it is believed in Scientology, that if you dislike someone, especially your auditor, it is because you have done something bad to them. So if you say you don't like your auditor, they start eliciting a confession and ask you, "What have you done to your auditor?"
