Jenna,
I have a few questions...
1. What was the reason for you leaving the Church? Is there more than one reason?
2. You stated that you are protesting...what are you protesting against?
3. Why didn't you sell your story to Nightline? I am amazed that you had no financial gain from that story. If it was me, I would have ensured my bank account benefited.
4. You did the interview with Nightline and exposed certain negative aspects of the ranch. Why didn't you expose the abuse and slave labor?
5. Are you now anti-Scientology or are you anti the Sea Org?
I am anticipating your response.
P.S. I went to the ranch with you. |

Hey, sorry I never saw this. I have been busy with having a baby and all and I havent had time to visit the site.
1. Yes there is more than one reason. But to sum it up, I was in the Church because I wanted to help people and see them happy. But my experiences and observations showed me that the higher echelons of the Church in particular went out of their way to make staff miserable, cause them pain and deny them any sort of happiness, just really for the fun of it. It didnt benefit the organization and it didnt benefit the staff. I did not want that to happen to me, or the people who I love or anyone for that matter, and it was happening, so I left and took my husband with me and help to create this website to prevent it from happening to others.
2. I protest the Church trying to control people by breaking up their families. I protest their horrendous treatment of staff and violations of labor laws. Most of all I protest them lying about it and not having even the slightest bit of remorse. They think they can get away with murder.
3. I didnt sell my story because the Church would have tried to use that to discredit me.
4. In the interviews with Nightline I did tell a LOT more about the Ranch and other things. I would say about 1% of what I said was aired. At the time Nightline was a bit scared of what the Church was trying to do behind the scenes to keep the segment from airing.
5. I would say I am definitly anti-Sea Org. I am not anti-Scientology, but I am definitly not a Scientologist.
Feel free to PM me if you want to chat |

Just to clarify on #5 above.
What I mean is that I feel that people can believe whatever they want to believe.
I personally think it is a bunch of made up science fiction stories mixed with some borrowed truths that are taken to the extreme and claimed to be workable 100% of the time which is ridiculous and obviously not the case.
I think that not just the way Scientology is run, but the actual technology of the Church has many policies which attempt to put the church beyond reproach and dont allow its members freedom of speech or thought. If anyone disagrees with or isnt helped by the Church, the policies are specially worked so that everything points to something being seriously wrong with the person and that the are resultantly excommunicated so they can spread their ideas to others. This is mind control.
So I want to change what I said above...yes I am anti-scientology. |
