Yesterday one of the entertainment shows, E! I think, had a segment about the film "Jerry Maguire" and that it is one of the top 10 Date Movies. My thought was that it also is the beginning of a decade long slide in mass acceptance of the Cruise identity and brand name and that somebody made a deal to get the so-called top ten recognition.
Some of this is a natural erosion in popularity that marquee stars experience, like Burt Reynolds, Sylvester Stallone, Charles Bronson, Robert Redford and to some extent Clint Eastwood (as an actor) have all experienced. Smart ones have another career lined up as a director, producer or even governor. Judging by Cruise selection of producer vehicles, that may not be his item as you say in hypnosis -- er, auditing. What will he do now that he has worn out his welcome on the silver screen? I hear the org always can use another bookstore officer ...
