Re Hubbard's actually writing the "affirmations" referred to herein. Yes, it's pretty well established that he did write them; and, all manner of things worse, better and in-between. He was a writer, after all, and a prolific one at that. Many writers, even well known and successful ones, write pornography or similar material - not for publication - but just because they write - also they tend to keep their stuff, whereas if I tried my hand at writing anything, I'd probably toss it in the trash at some point.
But Hubbard was involved in some very shady, wierd, illegal, immoral and evil stuff in his day. What you see as a scn is pure and unadultrated fabrications, lies and pure propaganda.
This has been hard for me to confront as I initially was totally "sold" on the whole "ball of wax" and I started as a mature adult with good life experience and education.
Probably the hardest thing for me to accept was that his lectures were mostly off-the-cuff flights of his imagination. I really enjoyed them - he was a master of the "tall, convincing tale" and he obviously enjoyed the sound of his own voice, didn't he. I believe he was also a sociopath. Look that up if you do not know the word, please.
